My dad currently has a Peugeot 207 SW 1.6HDi with a manual gearbox.

He's starting to suffer with his knees with arthritis now though and would like an automatic to the point that he'd be happy to change his car as soon as ...

A while back, he read in the Honest John newspaper column that Peugeot were to bring out an automatic diesel in the 207 range, but can find nothing now to back that up.

His dealer knows nothing, but then they're not always the first to know.

Any help appreciated... Anyone with any connections that can substantiate and/or provide more details on this rumour?
Thanks in anticipation.

I can't see anything on the Peugeot Press website, I'm afraid.

That's not to say it isn't true, though!

There has been no communication from Peugeot to the dealer network suggesting this model may be produced so I dont think it is happening at this time.

They recently intoduced a 1.4 petrol 2-tronic to slip in below the 1.6 Vti 120 auto in 207 but not on the SW

Smallest Peugeot hatch you can get in an auto diesel is 308 or he could look at something like the Bipper Tepee - this comes with a 1.4 HDi 70 engine mated to the 2-tronic box and probably offers better accessability than the hatch/sw models which may help with his knees etc

Hope this helps
