hiya after some help please my neighbours clio has started showing a yellow warning light on right hand side of dash when she trys to start the car and whilst this flashes it will not start,if she leaves it forsay 10 mins the problem goes. can anyone shed any light on the situation to help a damsel in distress??

Could be the immobiliser???

would the immobiliser allow the car to try starting though? when she turns the key its asif its out of fuel (it nearly fires but just not quite)

Had a similar fault on renault Kangoo would nearly start but not fire ended up being immob try giving Enigma a call they are in ashford kent think they are on gearings industrial estate sure if you explain the problem they will be happy to discuss the options with you even if you dont end up using them might give you some help.

That'll be the immobiliser, you need to lock then unlock the car with the fob then you'll be able to start it.

The light will flash if the immobiliser hasn't been turned off & it will just stay on if the immobiliser is off.
