My cars Body Control Module has finally decided that the design flaw in its protection has let enough water in and that it has had enough time to corrode the connections and fried itself and shorted most other electrical circuits in the car. RAC towed it about a mile to one of their local RAC Approved Bosch Workshops for repair. Does anybody have any idea how much this is likely to cost, ball park figure would be great and is it likely that it'll come with form of guarantee?

Many thanks

Water is prone to collecting in the n/s/f footwell. The main R2 connector from the engine wiring harness, to the body wiring harness is down there and can get corroded.

Fingers crossed your UCH is ok, as new ones are very pricey. This often freaks out the UPC switching unit too, can cost in excess of £600 for worst case scenario.

Hopefully, it's just a case of cutting out the corrded wiring from the connector and soldering it up.
