Clio 1.9 DTI help

Hi all,

I hope someone here maybe able to help. I have a 2002 Clio 1.9 DTi and need to replace the gearbox as the last one imploded.

I've got the gearbox code which is JB3905 but I can't find any boxes that match the code, so does anyone know if there are any other boxes that will fit?

Have you tried asking Renault to see how much a recon box is?

No I haven't but at £2500 ish for a new box I'm sure it'll be way overpriced. Thank you for the suggestion though I'll give them a shout just to check anyway.

Are you sure its a 1.9dti, the clios with that engine were only made from 2000-2001. Theres not many about so sourcing a gearbox maybe hard, iirc the same engine is used in the renault trafic but it has a 6 speed box.
