306 stereo issues

I have got hold of two standard stereos for my 306, thing is when they are plugged in nothing happens? They are Clarion stereos, I am guessing Peugeot changed the wiring somewhere along the line, so maybe I need to change the position of the wires in the connector block? Does anyone know of anything please?

The plugs are iso style ones are all the same, are you sure the fuse is present and if so not blown.

Otherwise they sound duff mate.

Fuse definately not blown, can plug a friends Blaupaunk ( spelling?) in and it works fine, I just find it odd that I have got hold of two dud stereos, the connectors I have out the loom are standard pug ones.
