Citroen C4 Poor Idle - Any Ideas?

Three weeks ago my 1.4 C4 decided it did not want to idle properly. The problem became worse over the course of a week, to the point that the car would allmost cut out when sat at idle. I decided to change the plugs, which instantly cured the problem, however, two weeks on the the problem is back!

Any ideas? if the problem cleared for a period with new plugs, could the issue be with the coil pack? or maybe air mass meter, idle control valve.

Any advice would be appreciated.

start with the easier componentsto change first, also i had a similar problem with my vectra the idle was st then i took off the throttle body cleaned it up and it worked properly

If your car has an idle-control valve (stepper motor) that's often a common cause. Taking it off and cleaning it often helps otherwise replacing.
