a friend of mine has a 1.6 petrol megane on a 05 plate. its a 5 door hatch and since he bought it he's been replacing headlight bulbs every 3-4 months. he had one done around 2 weeks ago and since then the car has developed some problems.
1, the radio shuts off every 15 minutes
2, the rear de-mist doesnt work
3, the air-con doesnt work
and
4, the washer pump has packed in.
he took it back to the garage that fitted the bulb and they replaced all the fuses but there blowing almost immediatly. the cars due to be plugged in to a diagnostics machine but just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem.
thanks

Have seen Meganes with similar problems the radio and rear screen are the same fault try the cigarette lighter or 12v socket most prob doesn't work either, with the Meganes its pot luck you either get a tidy one or a really bad one

Don't know how much help I can be but when I had a megane 225 I couldn't get 1 of the headlights to work at all, unfortunately I remember that the handbook says to go to dealership if changing the bulb doesn't work.

I'm not sure if this is the same across the lower models but try & check the fuses - according to the handbook there aren't any except the couple in the glovebox rolleyes Look under the bonnet, as you look at the bay from the front, top right hand corner, there's a big chunk of plastic. The fuses should be under there, it's a to get off though.

Wow, wouldnt want to replace the light bulbs too often. I do a lot of work on my own car but totally failed to replace the sidelight bulb on my parents car, even with the steering on full lock without jacking up the front you'd need to be some sort of contortionist to get the bulb out.

On my wifes scenic I needed to fit a new headlamp unit and ended up taking off the whole bumper. I think you are supposed to take the bumper off to change a bulb. It's not too bad when you know where all the fixings are you could take it off in under 30 minutes.
