hello, My other half has a 1.2 16v 53 plate Clio, , which has covered 41000k just taken it to have a minor service and been told that its due a Cam-belt change, Does anybody know when these are normally due for change as it seems to be early and low mileage. She has owned the car from new,

Many Thanks

Mark

Yep, 72k or 5 years.

Water-pumps are prone to weeping also. Lots of customers turn their noses up at main-dealer prices, take it to joe-blogs and a year later the water-pump bearing fails, or leaks excessively and piddles all over the belt - snap. Or...fred inthe shed only replaces the belt and the tentioner or idler fails.

Give us a shout if you're in the home-counties area.
