Renault 2.0dCi MPG - 37avg????

As above, come back from Scotland tonight in the Laguna - 133k, 2005 model, yet only averaged 37mpg out of the 2.0dCi, rather than circa 55mpg.
Never seen over 42mpg out of this car.
Recently serviced too...anything else to look at or is it inevitable after such wear?

Sounds about right if our experience is anything to go by. Have averaged approx 39mpg over 21k in our 2.0dci Initiale estate. Had a best of 43mpg.
