Just bought my first Renault and the Laguna (55 plate) has just got the crappy single disc head unit, is it easy to plumb my ipod into it and it seems to lose the radio station signal really easily, any suggestions? Also would it be worth it to change the head unit but I would still want it to work with the steering wheel stereo controls.

cheers

I have a Clio 182 and it has a single CD. IT is the Cabasse unit and it has a CD changer port on the back. I got an adaptor (can't remember where from but it is called a "connects2" ) which gives me a line in via phono leads. I just got a phono to 2.5mm jack and plugged it in.

I did however get an annoying alternator whine when my phone was charging and I was listening to music which was solved with a £10 ground loop eliminator from Maplins.

For the ipod http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... wont work on Cabasse units though.
And poor radio reception there is/should be an amplifier fitted in the osr quarter panel or roof.

Multi-function Tunepoints will work on a Cabasse Stereo !!!
