2000 Clio squealing while cornering

The other half has a Clio which she managed to snap the power steering belt on a few months back. Since then, it's recently started to make a fairly quiet, but audible from in the car, squealing noise when she's cornering relatively hard. It's quite a cyclical noise pattern as though it's a belt perhaps so obviously I suspect the power steering belt.

I've had a quick look at the belt and it seems pretty tight. Any suggestions on what it might be, perhaps something totally different, or what's worth trying?
