Rear brakes on a 182
Discussion
Afternoon chaps.
I was changing the brakes on my 182 today (fronts were DESPERATE, rears kinda needed it). The fronts were an absolute cinch, but when I came to the rears the pin that holds the drift bar in place was a bit tough to get out...
I wanted to ask, is it just a case of brute force and ignorance (as it so often is with bits like this), or is there some kind of pinch and pull, twist and pull, twist-pinch and pull technique that I'm missing?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Anyone who pays £140 to have their pads changed is a loon.
P.P.S. www.aepdirect.com and www.buypartsby.co.uk both do Mintex pads for the Clio at around the £50 mark for the front and rear. AEP are also unbelievably cheap for other Euro car bits too - I stumbled across it looking for the pads and they do OEM electric mirrors for.... £26! Yes, twenty-six pounds.
