which size toyos

I have a clio 172 with standard wheels and need new tyres. So i was thinking of R888 gg.
The question is, which profile? At the moment they are 195 45 15.
Can I go for 50 or 55 and will they fit and what difference?

you can get away with a 50 but the best thing to do is go for a 205/45/16 like the 182s have

They will. Quite a few 172 owners run PE2s' in that size.

That's what I thought, but can I use 205's if I've got 195's at the moment on the 15 rims?

I though the standard size on the phase 1 clio 172's was 195/50/15, not sure why you'd go down to a 45 profile unless its been lowered one hell of a lot.
