I've been tyre kicking, and found a fairly shiny example of a ZX for sale. The car seems solid but the brakes worried me. The pedal has a lot of travel, almost like they need bleeding or its slowly leaking fluid.

Has any one driven or owned one of these was I right to walk away? I don't really want to buy the car only to fork out for a master cylinder or a servo.

Thanks. Yep it was a diesel, that's put my mind at ease, I was right to walk away! At least if I try another, I now know what to expect of the brakes.

It will more than likely only be the rear brake adjusters not working, whip the drums off, adjust them manually and do again in 6000 miles.
