Well I've put my 205 up for sale, not neccisarily needing to sell it but I am becoming slightly bored with it. But all i can really think of to replace it would be a GTi-6'd or 2.0 8v turbo 205. Whatever i get needs to be a uk car (to make part finding much easier) have a reasonable after market parts industry. Be rare, lightweight and fun, as well as having 4 seats. (though i am considering a delsol.

Any recomendations will be welcome.

Dont think the 306 rallye would do me, Would be too similar to the 205, not quite as much fun and a fair bit heavier. Have driven a GTi-6 which was nice but wasnt as much of a sense of occasion with it or be enought performance to keep me happy smile

As for the accord, this will just be my play toy, so dont want anything too civilised really. Though they are nice.

go for the Integra then, about the same money although a lot more rough examples out there.

I am very much enjoying my Renaultsport 172!

Although I find it a bit less torquey than my Pug or maybe that is the longer gearing, I am really finding it to be a better 'everyday' car, though that could just be because it is 10 years younger!

I am doing the better part of 100miles a day in it and it is returning 36mpg but still comes alive on the back roads, though you have to rev it! It is just as easy to work on (did the brakes and pads myself, last week) and feels light but a bit 'tighter' than the Pug when pushed.

I also picked it up for £1,500 (though it is high mileage - 100k, needed the brakes doing and possibly another couple of cheapish odds and sods), which is cheaper than a Pug, in the same condition with that mileage!

I dont really like the phase 2 clio, but i am becoming tempted by the phase 3 (just looks a bit better imo) (the phases seem a bit strange actually as the phase 2 clio that is a 172 is actually called a phase 1 172 and the phase 3 clio as a 172 is called the phase 2 172) slightly confusing???) .But as you have said it is very much like a newer pug so i will now be off to scower the classifieds to find a local one for a little tryout. lol

Yeah, I know what you mean!

Mine is the Mk.2 Clio, Phase 1, 172!

The Mk.3 body style is nicer, I would agree with that, but I just needed a 'cheap runaround'...

I can't think of another hot hatch I would rather have to be honest and I had Pugs for 10 years! In fact, I still have one! I wanted something newer and the 306's were on the list as I had a nice 16v XSi for a while, but I couldn't find a good one/ un-barry'd one anywhere! Well, not for reasonable money.

Even with a few niggles, at £1,500 I couldn't say no to the Clio! It has done the better part of 2k since I bought it last month and I don't regret the decision to buy it at all! It did over 500 miles this weekend!
