A friend of mine is here with a Megane hire car... which is now in a ditch. Sudden loss of brakes and steering locked (at only 5 mph luckily). She said that the was a warning light... a spanner.

I haven't seen the manual... what does the spanner mean?? (I could guess but it'd be good to know for sure.

TIA

Ta... well I assumed it was 'service' - but there was a chance that it might have been: 'your car is fked, stop driving it'!
