Hello all,

After severall months off the road my 205 has had a Gti6 engine fitted and it finally passed the mot thursday so took her out for my first real drive in it since all the work has been carried out.

It's not as eager as the old 1.9 8v but the extra and power and torque is really welcome! Very enjoyable driving experience with no real affect on the handling. The noise it makes now, even with a standard exhaust will always put a smile on my face!

Money well spent, looking forward to my first trackday!

Timmer.

Nice one.
I've just finished a 10 week period of reshelling my written off 205 and MOT'ing it. Oh how I missed that Mi16 engine smile
The drive down to Goodwood yesterday reminded me how the 150 hours or so spent on it were well worth it.

Exactly, one drive and all the money and time finally seem worth while! Glad your Mi16 is all up and running again. How was Goodwood? Haven't been in a few years now.

Yes it does go like st off a shovel haha, thing is it's all relative as the 8v was a lot more eager but hit 4000rpm with the GTI6 and you get a whole lot of noise and smooth power. Haven't tracked it yet so I can't tell how fast it is against other cars really.

It's now got an Mi16 Gearbox and clutch, shorter 1st & 2nd ratios than the 1.9 but a lot more comfortable on motorways.
