http://www.21toc.com -Its down for work atm but will be back up shortly. It's the UK owners club website.

Most of the stuff above is right though, 175bhp, 199lb/ft. 0-60 for the 2wd is 7.7 though, Quadra 7.6 (I think). Kerb weight 2wd 1190kg, 4wd 1423kg but those are dry weights, add a bit more for a road going number. Standing 1/4 was around the 15.6, Quadra a little more, in the 16's.

Cheers, im seriously considering buying one this winter as a second car as i have a real love for Renaults having previously owned a 5 GT-T & a few Clio 16V's.
Almost bought a mint one 2yrs ago after i sold my Sapphire Cosworth but ended up buying a bike.
Would it be suitable to drive to the Nurburgring as i'd love to do a lap of it next year?

Absolutely. Find a decent one and you'll be hooked mate, I don't think I know any owner that regrets buying one and the amount of people that sell up and then get another one cos they miss it is quite high lol.

In May the UK owners club went to La Chatre in France for a European meet, for me it was nearly 650 miles each way, which we did on the Friday and Monday. I spent the Saturday and Sunday hammering it round a 2nd/3rd gear track, the track temp was 36 degrees on the sunday! Car didn't miss a beat all weekend, out of 7 of us we had one coolant pipe with a pinhole in it I think. I wanna do Nurburgring next year or the year after smile

Oh....and this from the Private road leading up to the track. It's quite long.
Unfortunately I lifted off as my mate hit the camera button but the focussing delay backed it down from 1.5 leptons (hence the boost gauge showing low).
My engine internals, fuelling system, and management are all totally Standard equipment smile

Whats the difference between the phase 1 & phase 2? I like the idea of the quadra but have heard they're pretty rare now. A mate of mine had 2 white phase 1's a few years back at the same time i had my 5 GTT, remember being blown away by the 21's midrange. His brother also had a Graeme Goode tuned one at over 300bhp.

There's a thread on the 21toc about the differences, but mainly aesthetics, like the boot spoiler/rear lights and the fascia inside. Soon as it's back up i'll link you to it.

None of the GGR cars made 300bhp that i've ever heard of, there were not enough mods to make that power quite simply, but there were some mid-200's. The midrange is the selling point of the car, it's awesome.

Im just going by what he said, most owners claim more power than it actually is tho.
What reputable tuners are there in the midlands area? I know of Prima Racing which isnt too far away, had a Clio 16v which had some work done there, Hillpower is just up the road but think they just do Clio's/Megane's etc...My old 5 GTT was rebuilt at Europarts in Stoke years ago but heard they've closed down now.

Hill Power has gone I think, he was bloody useless anyway. Prima have moved along now and don't do much for the 21, if anything.
A lot of us do it all ourselves now, garages simply can't be trusted to be competent. A lot of the people that don't have me do it, or assist, I've been dealing with 21's for over a decade smile

Anything you need give me a shout. See pics from my latest 21 task here-

Had an idea...dont know if its a good one or not but here go's.
The father-in-law lives in Lyon in France, and if i struggle to find a clean, low mileage, well looked after 21 turbo this winter im considering buying one from France with his help and driving it back over here.
Between us we should be able to source a good one out around the Lyon area, and he could go look at it for me, email me some pictures and give me his opinion on it (he's more mechanically minded than me).
Seeing as its a French car there should be more available over there, plus Lyon is in the south and nowhere near the coast so with the warmer climate and no sea-air i would of thought rust is less of a likelihood.
Any views on this idea or anyone with any experience of importing cars?
