Clio 182 using quite a bit of oil?

Mate of mine is topping his up fairly often,and has a smidgen on the bottom of his sump too.

Known issue with 182's?

No, it is uncommon for them to use oil. My 172 Cup (basically the same engine) only uses a little oil when I go hooning in Wales for a few days and both times that has fallen near a service so the oil was getting old (approx 6000 miles use). The rest of the time it never does. I've topped it up twice in 3 years ownership.

ours goes ages being ok, then needs a bit... i guess we buy an extra 1l bottle between (12k) services.

as for the sump.... if the washer isn't replaced it will leak. the rubber part gets crushed when you tighten it and they never look very good when you take them off.
