Dear All. I have had a hankering for one of my boyhood dreams for a while. Does anyone know this car as it looks v clean but also high end for a 205 GTI (even with the mods)?

If it's local to you then i'd take a look, but it looks a bit overpriced.
I guess it comes down to condition, but from what I can see on the advert, i'd be checking every single thing listed. If there's receipts and photos of the respray/suspension etc then it may be worth anywhere between £2-3k but it's all in the detail.

Expensive but well looked after.
S16 engine is heavier than the Mi16 although it is running the Mi16 inlet manifold which gives a little more torque.

If I'm not mistaken the S16 is iron block therefore heavy. As already said that is all the money for a 205.
I bought one a couple of years ago with arguably a bigger spec (albeit a track biased car) for a lot less money.

Ouch!!! Thats hugely overpriced. Looks like a nice car but considering what else is out there i'd keep looking. I sold my J reg 205 turbo (230bhp, excellent condition, full engine rebuild, suspension, brakes, etc) for just over £3k a year ago.... and i thought that was alot of money!!

I'd look for a GTi6 engined beast, more power than the earlier s16 wink

I got £3600 earlier this year for my old 205Mi16 - well that's what the insurance company gave me after the accident.

it is expensive, but its up to you if you would prefer to buy a banger and spend exactly the same getting it to that condition
