brought a very nice and tidy pug 205 mi16 in april, very nice, very fast!! now this car is solely for my fun, not fmaily car or anyhthing stupid except when my 2 1/2 year old daughter want to go out in daddy's fast and noisy car, she calls it puglet!! but gettin to the point i am un decided on whether to rip out the interior rear seats etc etc and cage it or keep as is!!! any thoughts, and especially pictures of your stripped out 205 will help to make the decision!!

She has been stripped out once before but previous owner put all back in again, so it not the best interior, it a bit saggy in places!!

Are you planning to take it on track? Is it really only going to be a toy?

If the answer to both questions is yes then do it. If you cage the car you'll be looking at proper seats and harnesses + padding. Caging it may also make the decision for you; it's possible to fit the interior back round the car but it's a lot of faffing around and will lead to even more rattles and squeaks.

Head over to http://www.forum.205gtidrivers.com/ for more information...

You may also want to look at things like BBM's range of GroupN mounts (suspension and engine) and their silicone hoses.

If you can make it up to Shinfield tomorrow then you're welcome to come for a spin in mine. It'll be off the road until July after that whilst I sort out some of the outstanding jobs (plus it ties in with the insurance running out anyway!)

How did the SAS hoon go?

Whatever you do - leave the roof lining in!!!

It's incredibly noisy/boomy without it - yet it ways sod all - so there is very little performance benefit to be had by removing it.

leave the interior in IMO, once i stripped mine out and fitted the cage i enjoyed driving it less. just get some nice reclining bucket style seats to replace the old half leathers.
