Reducing emissions from a clio 197

Hi everyone,

total forum noob here so here goes,

Is there any way of reducing CO2 emissions from a clio 197? Am interested in buying one but not so interested in the £400 road tax that is coming my way if I do.

There other thing is can someone recommend a lip spoiler for the 197?

Welcome, I'm afraid your tax goes on the manufacturers figures (or whichever testing body does the emissions test). You can't reduce the emissions to reduce the tax... you're stuck with whatever road tax it is now.

Imagine if every car was tested every year to determine the road tax...

On a plus point, the 197 is a great car. I'd quite like one myself, besides what's an extra £200 for all that fun

Have I read this correctly because the tax for the clio 197 is only £215 for 12mths not £400 as you stated
