I won't be driving my 106 GTI for 3 months?

I'm leaving the county for a few months and was just wondering how to prepare a car to be sat on my drive for the length of time I’m going to be away.

The only things I can think of to do are disconnect the battery and don't apply the hand brake too hard as to not stretch the cable.

Any other tips will be appreciated

Thanks, Liam

Leave it in gear and don't apply the handbrake at all,put some chocks under the wheels.

Perhaps over inflate the tyres a bit too. Supposed to prevent flat-spotting (although 3 months may not be long enough for this to be an issue)

My Rallye has ben sat up for 9 months now, I just pumper the tyres up to 50 psi and disconnected the battery. My dad took it for a run after 6 months and apparently it fired up straight away no probs. Hopefully it'll be the same when I get back in another 4!
