3 weeks ago the Clio failed it's MOT for exhaust leak on one of the backboxes. Turned out both were badly corroded so we decided to replace with a new stainless exhaust.

We went for a Scorpion RS192 (www.rs192.co.uk) becuase they are meant to be the quietest on the market.

Fitted it in the drive this week, and passed the MOT this morning.

Quality is only OK... there is a bar that connects/supports the two silencers and one of the threads used to bolt it on had not been tapped properly, so I had to re-tap the thread. Didn't spend too much time aligning it before tightening everything up and it needed a couple of cable ties on the mounts to pull it central.

It's not *that* much louder, and has a deeper tone. Most noticable between 2k - 3k rpm. On the motorway its not boomy while crusing - the 182 was never quiet and you can still talk, listen to the radio.

My mate has got one, his fitted no problem- in fact better than standard. Also gave good power increase tested back to back.
He thinks very highly of the system.
Have you had yours on rollers yet?

No, and have never had it on the rollers so couldn't compare before and after.

Have put some miles on it and am really pleased with the sound biggrin

If you want to make the system quieter there's packing you can get that expands when it's hot. Makes a vast difference, you just need a hole and a metal patch to cover the hole after the material goes in.
