Hi all,

Just wanted to confirm compatibility of these engines. The donor vehicle is a 2001 406 and the other vehicle is a Berlingo 2003. Suspect the easiest way to tell is VIN numbers or engine numbers?

Many thanks

If you check the chassis number it will state a three code engine number.

The 406 will more than likely be intercooled and the berlingo may not, have you got the 90 or 110 bhp 406?

I'd tread carefully. There never was a 1.9HDI. The 406 will be a 2.0, the 1.9's are just N/A or TD engines.
They never did the 1.9TD in the Berlingo IIRC, but they dd do a 1.9D n/a and a 2.0HDI. You don't wanna end up with the wrong lump!
