Renault Megane Coupe Ph1

Hey,

Just bought a Megane Coupe 1.6e Fidgi (1997), am loving driving it...slightly different from the classic minis I'm used to!

One question I'm hoping someone can answer, the car has got a Sony CDX-51RF cd changer with an FM modulator. Everytime I try to play a CD it comes up with an "e-99" error on the remote, which according to the manual means I have to press the reset button on the FM Modulator.

The problem I have is...where is the modulator put in the Megane? Am I going to have to take apart half my dashboard to get to it?

I have no idea about the megane and its radio. But on my clio, part of the radio is under the drivers seat, so might be worth a quick look there.

IIRC, it was a seperate piece of equipment that was put on the dash or near the Stereo. The CD changer worked in the same way as a Griffin RoadTrip etc for an IPOD. IE. The CD broadcasts through a spare FM channel and you have to programme the FM modulator to the radio.
