205 gti hub nut

hi guys anybody know the size of the front hub nut on a 1.9 gti nothing in my tool set fits and need to buy a socket for it but don't know which one to buy, i've not got any measuring kit and biggest socket i've got is 32mm which is no where near, it looks about 36-38mm?.

35mm or 36mm depending on the after market maker of the shaft.
Note these are not found in Halfords or any normal socket set.

cheers mate thought it was a funny size got order one out my tool catalog as i can't find one on the shelf just wanted to be sure of the size before ordering, 36mm socket = £15 madness.
