Just brought a 205 with a GTi6 fitted and had a few questions.
1. when the conversion was completed they could not get the oil pressure guage working but i don't know why? any ideas what i need to get the gauge working on the dash?? (I have seen a oil pressure adaptor on fleabay but not sure about installing it!!)
2. I have had a fair number of 205's in the past but this one does not install any confidence in me when trying to push on!! The car has been lowered by about 35 mm all round but the front feels very twitchy as though the wheels are not connected to the steering wheel. You can move the steering wheel whilst travelling in a straight line by about two or three inches before the wheels move and then it pitches and wallows very badly.
(thought about changing the bottom arms & polybushing them and the ARB, also swapping the drop links then onto the tyres as the ones fitted are not my first choice!!)
Any help greatly appreciated!!

Hi,

1. Can't help you with the GTI-6 stuff but try on on 205gtidrivers.

2.Does it go one way under acceleration and an other when easing off?

It's likely to be the wishbone bushes that need replacing. Don't bother with poly ones.
If not it could be the lower ball joint although these make an unpredictable knocking sound.
Could be ovalised hubs...although this is less common.
