try speaking to K-Tec Racing on 01202 820800 who might offer some options for you

The boys at www.clio16valver.co.uk would also help you make some decisions. For serious power turbo'ing of the F7P (1.8 16v) or itbs for the F7R (2l 16v) is the general choice. But obvious things like gas flowing, remapping, cams etc are a good start. Hill Power, APD, KTec and GDI are all recommeded in the Clio scene and would all be worth talking to.

A rebuild is always nice on the F7R engine. I don't know where you are, but Hill Power are well respected for rebuilds. I think the are in Northants area...

Changing stock EPROM is often a way to free up a few ponies, and increase the ridiculously low rev limiter too. There are loads of types out there, so it is always a good idea to get a chip carrier built onto the existing ECU board so you can interchange chips easily.

Removing excess weight is a good way to release free power. The counterweight balance in the driver arch which holds the carbon cannister is serious weight and can be removed easily. I think it is there to 'balance' the car out as it was designed originally as a left hooker:

That's solid pig iron I believe!

It depends on how far you want to go, comfort vs performance, with weight reduction...lots of sound deadening you can remove!

A decat is nice for more power in the upper rev range, but you will sacrifice low down torque. makes for more pops and bangs though smile

General servicing also increases lifespan f the car and helps improve general running of course. Spark plugs, HT leads, distributor and rotor arms are easy to do and cheap and help lots.

First thing to do is buy the Group N parts catalogue. Look at the part numbers and compare them with regular Renault part numbers which might be for the same part but cheaper. Some of the special parts from Dieppe are quite inexpensive.
