I tried a search but didn't see an answer...

Can anyone suggest an alternative tyre to the standard one for a 182 (with both cup packs - if that makes a diference)?

My only gripe with the standard one is I only get about 12,000 miles out of the fronts and the performance is noticeably worse for the last 1,000 or so miles of that. Superb when new though.

Thanks,
Garry

Michelin PE2s' are better IMHO. The Contis' I had when I bought the car seemed to lose wet weather grip much quicker (in terms of depth of tread - PE2s' more grip less tread). I'm on my second set of front PE2s' now.

12k out of the fronts is not that bad really on a FWD hot hatch. I probably get a bit more out of mine actually - 15k maybe.

I'm using the Michelin pilot exalto 2's as well..

They seem pretty good and not that expensive at around £100 a corner.

I see black circles are selling the Pirelli P zero nero for £80 a corner .. which is a bargain.. mega grip.

Not sure if theyre the same size - but Ive run Yokohama S-Drive's for the last 4k with no issues, though I dont push it! Wet grip seems pretty good as well.
I paid £160 for 4 - though I did fit them myself! Good budget choice IMO.

Awful tyres, my cup had 4 brand new ones on when i bought it, they offered no grip so i took them off, binned them and replaced them with contis.

I managed 19k out of Eagle F1s on the front.

Now I have a new set Conti Contacts all round. Very good, but I have noticed some slight slipping pulling away quick in the wet.

There is a huge tyre thread on cliosport if your still unsure.
