Thinking of buying one of these, anyone got any experience with them? Reliability, running costs etc.

I did 10,000 miles in a Hatch version and 11,000 in a Tourer. A great car to drive and built well. Had no rattles or creaks when they went back smile

Was getting about 36mpg out of mine - mostly A-roads.

Have you thought about a GT version - some great deals out there at the moment?

Thanks for that, I assume they were petrol versions? 36 out of a diesel wouldnt be too good!

They were dCi 150 versions - sorry meant to say 39 mpg. Got upwards of 45 on the motorway though!

Well, I have gone and bought one! Its a silver 57 plate with a panoramic roof. Intitial impressions are pretty good, considering it only got a luke warm response from the motoring press when released.

Its got reasonable power and torque and is a great motorway cruiser, being very quiet and cosseting. Theres plenty of toys (Fingers crossed they keep working) and the suede/leather seats are great. Its a great contrast to my 993, which is what I wanted.
