Morning all!

Looking at running my 1.9 on GSXR 1100 carbs, got a friend who can build the manifold for me but we don't know if this has been done before or if they'll be too big for the engine?

They are 40mm each so it'll be like having 2 sets of Twin 40's as I understand it, please feel free to correct me if i'm off track with that statement.

Just looking for some general advice/guidence from anyone who has done the big bike carb thing before.

I'll put a post out on gti drivers aswell but wanted to spread my bets!!

Any guidence would be fantastic!!

Cheers Guys.

As many have said on 205 drivers bike carbs are for bikes and designed to run on engines that rev much higher. stick with webers or dellortos. Just my opinion.

I've got a matched pair of 45mm Delortto's in the classifieds if you were interested.

shenpar motorsport do the bike conversions for these they can tell/sell you all that you need, when i spoke to them about my old 106 a few things you need are a fuel pressure regulator to LOWER the pressure as bike carbs run on very low pressure, also you need to alter the quadrant where the cable attachies on the carbs as the bike one is very small and this attached to a thottle pedal gives a very short pedal travel and can cause problems when driving trying to control revs,
also servo pipe take off point can be an issue cause if you get it wrong it can upset the airflow through the carbs and manifold.

bike carbs are gravity fed so run at very low pressure
