battery light on saxo
Discussion
i have a saxo vtr and the battery light has come on. i have changed the battey and its still on. i then tested the battery to see if it was being charged by the alternator and that seems to be fine. i dont no what eles it could be. has any 1 eles had this problem. any help would be great
Normally this means the alternator is not charging, have you got 13/14v at the battery when the engine is running?if not the alternator's fubar.Just realised your the chap weith the earth lead question, did you sort that?it could be a related problem, try clamping a jump lead from the engine or gearbox to the batttery see if that helps.
