Megane 2001 Coupe stereo locked

I had to disconnect the battery on my Megane the other day and now it wont let me enter any security code. All it says is CODE and thats it, it beeps whenever I push any buttons either on the stereo or the remote. Anyone in Inverness help please

Use the thumbwheel to enter the 4 digit code after powering up the unit, after each selection press the switch on the satellite control.

Mr Renault has access to the code if yours is lost.

Its not letting me do that all it says is code and thats it

Power on and leave well alone for a few mins.

Every time you fail , waiting time is doubled IIRC

You are right in what you say ts doubled every time, better leave it on overnight now then lol

Thats 24 hours now and still locked, will it need to be reset at the dealers?

Right, I left in on over three hours and it finally let me put in the code I have been supplied with in my folder that accompanies the car. Locked me out again I nearly took a bloody hammer to it lol.
Back to renault in the morning and try again they charge a tenner just for the code which is a bit naughty I think
