So, theoretically, if I wanted to reduce body roll in my 1999 306 1.6LX, what are my options?

1) Lowering springs - cheap, simple, but apparently make the tyres lose grip really easily?

2) Fit suspension from a better model - Could I put GTI-6 replacement springs and dampers in, and adjust the torsion bar appropriately?

3) Coilovers - From what I'm aware, too expensive.

I like to go out for a sprited drive every now and then, and the car suffers quite a lot of body roll. I'm not necessarily in the market to have my car boy racer low, maybe just a little bit.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

less body roll i would go for uprated shock absorbers and springs. and a larger Anit Roll Bar. you could go on and on to reduce body roll. coil overs are not worth it unless racing professionally as it would rquire custom 1 off mounts.

i don't no what after market shock absorbers to go for mind you

If its an XU engine in the 1.6 XS instead of a TU (easy way to tell, if the exhaust manifold is at the back its an XU) then it'd probably be best to go for GTi-6 bits. If not get a set of matched springs and shocks, springs on their own will be bad for the handling.

Cheers, I have a TU engine. The manifold comes out of the front. It also makes it slightly more difficult to find an induction kit to fit.

You know how much a matched spring and damper set would go for?
