Hello help asked for.

My girlfriend has a 2002 Megane convertible which has developed a strange knocking noise, coming from behing the dashboard passenger side, when the ignition is turned on. It's quite loud and goes away after a bit, but's it's a bit worrying.

Any ideas welcome or is it poltergeists ??
