Wanting to get something to do about 6000miles a year that is comfortable and well spec'd. Budget is about 2.5k I have been considering either a Saab 9-5 or a laguna.

The laguna's seem on the surface great value for money but are they more problems than they are worth at this price point? I have hear lots about electrical problems and other niggles.

I looked at getting a Laguna a while back because they were so cheap, then after a bit of research I discovered they are cheap for a reason, go to any owner-review website and you will hear all sorts of horror stories about these cars. I'm sure there are good ones to be had but be very careful.

Of the two my choice would be the Saab

I thought they were too good to be true! I guess one option might be to get one from a dealer and get a comprehensive warranty with it.

Be suprised if a dealer has them on their forecourt for anything near that. I would go for a SAAB or Vauxhall?

Steer clear
I had one on a 51 plate total pile of Shyte. Couldn't sell it on so i broke it in the end and doubled my money.
To be fair it was roomy and very comfortable but the electrics and turbo's are crap
