Question as per title really, doing an oil change this afternoon just want to double check how much oil it needs....

1998 1.4 Petrol

Educated guess, no experience of Peugeots but 4.5 litres.

well i always fill mine up so the oil gets to the brim of the filler cap,you can never have enough that's what i say.




















any tongue in check icon,can't see one......ps dont heed my advice

That'll fk the engine if you do that. Too much resistance will create too much back pressure and it will slow the car down.

An employee of ours did that to one of my racing cars, just topped it up a wee bit too much after giving it a good service the day before the race. Come practice, the car stopped accelerating when I changed it up to 4th. Our proper race mechanic took quarter of a pint out during lunch break and the car was straight on the pace again.

Thats what I did in the end. It took nearly 25litres! Its smoking like buggery now though, and it seems to be leaking a bit? confused
