Just tried starting the car and it just turns over and doesn't attempt to fire. Anyone got a list of which fuse feeds what as I am guessing fuse gone somewhere or fuel pump has failed.

Much more likely to be something more simple.

Check the HT leads, particularly at the coil, for poor fit and/or for corrosion. Before you start taking things further check for a spark (take out a plug and hold it against the inlet manifold (assuming yours isn't plastic), or listen for the injectors firing using a screwdriver as a stephoscope. Those checks will rule out significant ignition and injection faults, respectively.

If you want to rule out the fuel pump lift up the rear seat and put your hand on the rubber/plastic cover while cranking the engine - you'll feel the pump buzzing if it's working.

The fuse box cover shows what fuse does what, but there's only fifteen of them so it shouldn't take you long to spot if one's blown.

check the dizzy cap and rotor arm to see how worn they are. In my experience its normally ignition related due to wear and tear, things dont just give up working

http://forum.205gtidrivers.com

If you're not joined already, 205gtidrivers forum is the most helpful I know, if its a 1.6 or 1.9 GTi with the original engines it'll be an XU engine, as will any mi16 converted ones.

Remember to use the 'search' function on that forum too!

Check the fuel pump relay also, located next to the ECU.
