Anyone know how much a stripped out pug205gti should weigh approximately?

Just curious.

I've read about standard Phase 1 1.9 GTi's weighing anything from 910 to 875kgs. The OMP 6 point lightweight cage in mine is only 16kgs, I believe yours is the same Paul? Does anyone know how the Mi16 engine compares in weight to the XU9?

I'd guestimate at around the 800kgs mark, the trouble with taking it to a weighbridge is like my local one rounds off to the nearest 20kgs so isn't really that accurate. Best bet would be to find a friendly race team at a trackday with a set of corner weight scales!

Weighed (at a weighbridge) my stripped mi16 recently and it came in at 850Kg which was a little disappointing! Especially as i'm currently looking into putting a cage into it! Using Corbeau Forza seats which can never be
considered as lightweight though.
Oh, and yes I could get rid of the speakers as well if I was really worried about it!

850kgs?? yikes didn't think it would be that heavy. I've got a similar spec car and was led to believe it was around the 800kg and under mark.

Hi Paul, I started training for a new job as a train driver 3 weeks ago so from now until next June I'm away all week in Cardiff and only get weekends off. There's not that many trackdays at weekends and I wouldn't really have the time or money to do them anyway (had to take a 50% pay cut for the first year frown ) so I sold my 205 yesterday.

What spare time I do have though I'm spending turning this E36 325i into my next track car:

Hope to be out in it next year.
