205 GTi tachometer pulse feed
Discussion
This is purly from memory and i will check later but i belive it to the white cable which terminates at the coil block. I had to install an aftermarket tacho years ago to the first pug which needed this feed but found it by trial and error, didn't look to fancy with crimps holding everything together after.
I'll have a look tonight when i get home and i'll post the cable reference up if someone dosen't beat me to it. Have a look through the Haynes wiring diagrame on the ignition section, i don't remeber it being obvious tho.

It will be the negative side of the coil, it depends on which engine you have fitted what type of coil it is though.
Or you could get under the drivers side of the dash and look for the 2 multiplugs that connect the ECU loom to the main loom, this also carries the tacho signal from the coil to the dash. If i recall the wire will be numbered 112 and be fitted into the smaller 6 pin connector of the 2. Tap into this wire and it should give you your tacho signal.
