Fantasy land - my 17yo 205 with 120k on the clock didn't have any rust either....big deal.

Rubber, plastic etc degenerate over time, not just through use.

I could build a 1.6 from a bare shell up with almost totally new parts for half the price this joker is asking!

Yep, was going to add you could restore one to better than original spec for loads less - and you wouldn't actually be afraid to use it either.

Total fantasy pricing.

Few years back had my sisters 205 1.4 for a few months, that was an 85 model, horrible colour, but absolutely no rust. So big effing deal.

I was under the impression that he'd only put 10k for the sake of putting a price up, if hes serious then he needs to put down the crack.

Mine was sat outside for a year with no front wings, no front end at all, just a piece of plastic over the engine and there is ZERO rust on it! This guy is obviously a lunatic who has no idea what Gti's are actually worth these days. £3K for a mint reconditioned one, possibly, £10K for car we haven't actually seen? Nutter jester

He's just proud of his car and unrealistic of the value of it.

In my mind an absolute minter would be £5k. And that is nice, but not a minter.

I sold an abssolute minter 1.9 earlier this year for £3.5k, 64k miles, massive history file, blah, blah

£10k for a 1.6 is just silly

£5K is still alot considering you could build your own from scratch for around that? Agreed, not mint, no were near it.

Hi I have a wheel barrow in my shed always been in the shed when not in use and has never seen the rain as that would mean I got wet.

If you are interested I am selling it for more than it was worth when I bought it, because you know they don't make them like they used too !!

Idiot, you can also buy a xxxxxxxx motorsport one for the same money built from scratch with a warranty !!

Yeah I agree, £5k would be a beauty but I think that would be the ceiling of 205s.

I wonder if they will start to increase in value though, especially the straight ones like this one advertised. Me, for example (27) I fully expect to buy one in 10yrs time to tinker with (had one when I was 18 and loved it; graphite grey 1.9 E-reg).

I just don't think they've got to £10k yet hehe

Two wobbles per rotation of the wheel on average, at speed it can be a challenge to keep the bad boy in straight line without any materials in !!! but once you get into a rythm it is easy, think fast walking athletics style with a little more shoulder movement and you get the idea.

Turbo 16: Yes
Really good 1FM: Maybe if you like them that much
Original T16: If you could get one i'd sell my house!
Normal GTI in shrink wrap with delivery miles: Yes
Anything else (so 99.9999% of 205's): No

Plus, my wheel barrow wobles only once per rotation, it also has some custom yellow spray paint - Fancy a Part Ex? Say your wheel barrow and a tenner? hehe
