PHers, anyone got any good places to get oil pumps from? Ebay is the winning contestant at the moment but would be good to compare prices. I have only found 1 on ebay at £65 + Delivery, not bad in my opinion but i've been wrong with ebay items and sellers before. Any comments appreciated.

P.S: GSF have got free delivery on web site sales now just incase anyone didn't know?

Cheers! - M

But try you local Peugeot dealer first; you may be pleasantly surprised at how much is still available for these cars as OE and not carrying the "classic" markup that some places like to automatically apply.

Thanks Gnubee, spot on! Local dealer looked at my funny and ran away so can't be arsed with them. Cheers!

Some dealers are like this, try anotehr if there is one at a reasonable distance. There are 3 around here and eventually found one had a friendly parts department, even to the point of seeing if they could compete on parts prices when I was buying a load of stuff for my engine re-build!

Sure you actually have a problem with the pump? Failiures are very rare.

Just being thorough! I've figured that if i'm going to do a re-build, i'm going to do it properly with no stone left unturned! The previous owner obviously didn't look after this car all that well and as such, i think that little things like oil pumps and chains are a must! Plus, it'll make me a lot happier knowing i've done it and the chances of failure have been reduced dramatically!

you'll be buying a new set of liners then, too?

seriously the oil pumps are fool proof, and engine rebuilds are expensive enough without getting super pedantic about every last detail.
