Does anyone know the weights, bhp, 0-60 etc of a saxo vtr and how these compare to a vts

I have a 2001 vtr which i believe to be the later 98 bhp engine with 0-60 in around 9.5 secs

i've searched all over but cannot find anywhere which tells weights, thanks

Ok having owned a VTR and currently owning a VTS I can tell you they are worlds apart.

The VTR was a good drive, great chassis but not a lot of power. However very cheap to insure and run!

The VTS is another league, only 20bhp more but it makes the world of difference, but im getting 28ish mpg and the insurance group is 14.

If you can afford the VTS get one!!

I think also the VTS has a close ratio gearbox which helps.

Official 0-62 times from peugeot/citroen were always quite conservative i guess to help with insurance quotes or something.

My girlfriend has recently upgraded from a 106 1.6 XSi (very similar to a VTR, 105bhp) to a 106 GTi (identical to a VTS) and they really are worlds apart. The XSi felt flat compared to my 205 GTI, the 106 GTi, whilst not having the urge of the 205, is very noticeably faster than the XSi and the 5k surge is very nice indeed smile

Its the power delivery, 16v engines tend to go from quite a low amount of power to peak power very quickly. Unlike your average 8v which will usually gradually increase.
