Hi, i pick up my 172 on monday and was wondering if anyone knows of a good cheap insurance company that does not mess around, i am 22, held a licence for 5 years, no crashes or points, but no ncb as i have been on my mothers insurance. The cheapest quote i have had is £1100 from direct line, which i don't think is too bad considering my circumstances.

Have a look on Cliosport.net they have a insurance section. Lots of specialist insurers being used on there. I'm with DL. Bit older but with 3 yrs ncb and pay £550.

Adrian Flux, bell etc are worth a try.

nfu mutual - no online quote, you have to call but 21, 3 year ncb, no accidents at all (touch wood) and 1090 on a 2007 audi a3 s-line TDI 170. They also do multi car policies, and I used to have a 2005 BMW Cab and it was £1900 for the pair.

Adrian Flux quoted me £2100.

Me being 20 having held a licence for a year with 1yr NCB I thought that was pretty good.

(No convictions with a poor postcode).
