hi peeps have you any sugestions on suspension though not coilovers please, its for a friend of mine also were can he get decent front rollbar droplinks other than peugeot, cheers in advance ps the factor ones he fitted lasted five mins
First place to look for this kind of advice is forum.205gtidrivers.com, they've a specific section in the form covering brakes and suspension. Is there any particular reason why your friend doesn't want to go down the coilover route? They do represent the best option if they fit within budget. If you're looking at tracking the 205 then they also offer normally adjustable ride height, damping and the possibility of adding eccentric top mounts in the future which you can't do with the standard strut/spring assembly. With the droplinks what failed on them? I picked up a couple from eBay and the quality is fine with decent ball joints etc.
he doesnt track the car and wants to keep it mostly original personally i would just change them for uprated items, but he wants it kept standard height so coilovers would be a waste of money tbh and uprated dampers are cheaper than original pug shocks from the quotes he has been getting, the droplinks are now over £100.00 each i think from peugeot thanks for your comments
he is on the 205 drivers site but has limited access to the internet

In that case why not just buy decent quality standard parts? E.g. OE Bilstein front shocks are about £40-50 a side
i think he has been quoted for them and they were more than that, im sure he will come to some sort of conclusion in the next 5 years lol thanks guys Gassing Station | French Bred | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
