pug 406 deisel tuning

hi i,m new on here wondering whats best way for tuning bog standard 96 pug turbo diesel 406
cars been well looked after. regular servicing only mod is de-cat.thanks.

you're best of looking on pug306.net.

It's a standard XUD9 engine, fairly tunable as its all mechanical.

you really want to be looking at first of all removing the EGR valve actuator, then a decent air filter (K&N panel filter is good, induction kit a waste of money due to under bonnet temps) then cranking up the boost and fuelling.

Front mounted intercooler is next, but the engines running 120bhp+ tend to explode fairly regularly.

All nice and cheap to do though, so you can save for a 306 GTI!

Remap or tunning box, remember with a box you can remove it and sell it on seperately when selling the car in the future.
