you're best of looking on pug306.net.
It's a standard XUD9 engine, fairly tunable as its all mechanical.
you really want to be looking at first of all removing the EGR valve actuator, then a decent air filter (K&N panel filter is good, induction kit a waste of money due to under bonnet temps) then cranking up the boost and fuelling.
Front mounted intercooler is next, but the engines running 120bhp+ tend to explode fairly regularly.
All nice and cheap to do though, so you can save for a 306 GTI!
