We have a rip-snorting 1.0 litre Saxo which my sone and daughter drive (insurance friendly!), however the non-assisted steering is a bit of a sweat for my daughter's stick-like arms. I have checked out the cost of a rack and pump from breakers at about £70 all in, which is good, and I'm quite confident I can change them, BUT...

..does anyone know how the wiring is done??
Anyone got a Saxo Haynes they might be able to look in?

think you would be better to buy the short loom from breakers as well or stip one out yourself that way you can label up every connector plug

I would just buy a 1.1 Saxo personally. They're all plenty cheap enough and there are plenty to choose from. To retrofit PAS into a non PAS car would be more work than is really worth it IMO.

Just pump the tyres up harder say 35psi works wonders.
