The pump or some part of the injection system should have Bosch/Lucas written on it. tongue out

If you buy a 406 find out if the front springs have been changed , they have an alarming habit of breaking and the coils going through the front tyres.

Bosch is the better system, and can run higher ratio's of Veg oil to diesel
it's definately the best one to go for

the bosch has a big UFO looking thing on top of the pump, easy to recognise

Yep, afaik Bosch is the best pump generally, and for running veg.

I'd aim for getting a Bosch one if you can. That said you can put a Bosch one on an engine with a Lucas one if you want to.

Cant see the problem! If its only a cheap motor for a run about Just put it in and drive it! Yes the bosch pump is better But if you change the pump you need to change the injecters and the injecter steel pipes to match because the firing order on a lucas pump is not the same

Yep, would be a bit of hassle if you couldn't DIY it all.

Glad to see it's on a Bosch anyway, loads better than that Lucas pump.
