Renault Megane (06) central locking problem

I´ve hired a Megane (06) and trying to sort out the child locks on the rear doors I´ve managed to isolate them from the central locking system, in that they stay locked and can only be opened from the inside! opposite to what I want...does anybody know how the little switch works on the door lock to reverse this!
I really don´t want to have to drive back to the airport to sort this....

Does this Megane have the keyless locking? Wonder if that might be contributing to the problem. Guess you've tried the door switch in all its positions? Don't return to the airport, IMO. Try a Ren main agent in person or on the phone. Failing that, breakdown cover?

Is it one with a card?

If the light on the drivers sill is lit then the doors shouldn't open from the inside. That's how ours works anyway.
